Rookie opportunities

#1

Hurns is on pace for 101 targets and AR15 is on pace for 96.  While this should be reduced with Shorts/Sanders returning to the lineup, the offense should become much more pass happy with Bortles.

We might have two rookies catch 50 receptions this year, which may be an NFL record.

If we can get Denard Robinson a whole lot more involved in our running game, I think this would 'open up' our passing game even more...

I y'ams who I y'ams and thats all I y'ams...

Well...according to the T-U today, Robinson will be getting more playing time.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Hopefully Bowanko and Linder keep improving throughout the year, that would be huge for us

Even if they do I want to see us make some moves in the offseason to bring in top tier talent on the line. Last year we thought Journeyman and developing rookies fixed the secondary and now we're looking at having to re-address that unit all over again.

He's projected to have 992 yards with 16tds according to ESPN, and to put in comparasion DeSean Jackson is projected for 1,056 yards with only 5 touchdowns... so essentially ESPN is saying Hurns is slightly better than Jackson..

Nice twist but that's not what anyone is saying.

Does anyone know what the rookie WR records are for receptions, total yards, yards after catch, and touchdowns or who currently holds them?

I don't care about all of this "on pace for" crap. It never works out that way. Just tell me his season stats so far (receptions, yards, YAC, and touchdowns) and who has the most similar numbers to date with his 2014 statistics. That is the best way to figure out what Allen Hurns needs to do to become the best WR this year. Anything else is comparing apples to oranges.

Notice my new avatar is Hurns running away from Colts defenders who tried to tackle him. That  touchdown was the most amazing so far because he ha was sandwiched between two Colts.

I wish he could be our starter instead of Toby Gerhart, but I will take a lot more carries like he did against the Colts.

bortles seemed to like looking A rob's way. i dont know if its because lee isnt there or what but he might turn out to be his go to guy.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

I noticed that too. Pretty ironic considering he was already friends with Cecil Shorts before the draft.

So far Robinson has been better than Lee anyway except for one touchdown pass in preseason.
