So after 3 games, how does our D-Line grade out with you?

#1

We spent some money bringing in Clemons, Hood, and Bryant.

Branch has flashed but it seems like last years line. Nothing spectacular.

My grade would be a D-

Wait till next week to grade them. They have too many excuses to use atm. Hopefully they'll rebound and fight harder since the offense will be better.

But if the season ended now. They're an F.

It will help when they don't spend 25 of the first 30 minutes on the field.  But - yeah - they haven't been playing cohesively in terms of gap-filling and have come up short on pass rush since the third quarter of week one.

We lead the league in missed tackles. So dont blame the offense for a reason why the defense stinks.

I thought Clemons would produce more

Yeah it's troubling that's this is was not a concern for most people. Non the less, so far they get a "D" from me. We aren't last in sacks so that means something.

As much flak as the clots oline gets, they really aren't that bad.  Castanzo is pretty good.

Should use some of that 30mil cap space to get some star players here...

Kinda like Denver getting T.J. Ward, Demarcus Ware, and Aqib Talib.

Pure DL? They actually tied for first in sacks with in the NFL with Washington at 10. They Run D up the middle has been solid, but they've struggled when people have bounced it out outside. Branch is tied for 3rd in sacks with 3 up to this point, Ryan Davis is tied for 12th, as is Marks.

Really hard to grade them when they are on the field so long and the LBs behind them are playing terribly.

C. It's pretty average, which is disappointing when you consider all the FAs we brought in and all the hype surrounding our much improved DL

10 years ago we had Bob Hope, Johnny Cash, and Steve Jobs..... Please don't die, Kevin Bacon.

I'm guessing that the LB's get tired more easily than the d line. Either way , our whole defense is getting tired. We can't win like that. From here on out our games should be a lot closer. Bortles will get more first downs. Period.
