If Gus and Dave say the kid isn't ready, then I believe them unconditionally, since they clearly have the team going in the right direction. And why was it not the perfect opportunity at 0/0? Is the thing that makes it the definitive "perfect opportunity" because they chose to do it then? If they hadn't, I have a feeling it would have suddenly been not the right time again.
