Marcedes and Allen Hurns Injury

(This post was last modified: 09-14-2014, 06:44 PM by JagProphet.)

Both players have high ankle sprains and are expected to be out for two or three games at the very least.

Hopefully Cyprien and Cecil will be back for the home-opener against the Colts. Really unfortunate that we won't have two of our key players on offense next week.

Edit: Don't know the severity or actual time they'll miss, but at the very least they will miss a few games.

If that is all Hurns has, I think we are fortunate. Looked like a season ender when it happened.

I had a high ankle sprain before. Obviously, I'm not a world-class athlete, and I didn't have world-class trainers, but I was able to 'play' basketball on it after a few weeks. Although, It never felt 100% until 6 months after.

Great..the only guys to find the end zone for us this year and we will miss them against the Colts. Im already preparing for Luck having a good game, any QB can when our D plays as much as they do. Also, prepare for the espn analysis and other media to shower Luck with oodles and oodles of praise. Heck, they may even say he is better than Brady/Manning after our game

Yeah, their speed will be reduced while sprinting. Can't expect Hurns to burn someone downfield or make quick cuts to get open. Hopefully he can be 100% by next month.

Where have you seen that Hurns has a high ankle sprain?? I have seen it indicated an ankle injury. That could be normal sprain, high ankle sprain, torn ankle ligaments or broken ankle. I hope you are right, but even if high ankle that is probably 4-6 weeks for our boys.

There are different degrees of high ankle sprains. A few weeks is best case. We don't know the severity in either case.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

They'll realize we're just the  'jags' and won't make anything out of it. Although we have to go into FA and try to find a capable TE replacement. Clay Harbor, Cyprien, Allen Robinson, and Cecil are expected to be 100% next week, so it's not too bad. Although, I do think Allen Hurns would be the " win factor " if he was playing.

We can thank Gus for Hurns' injury.

He's a likeable guy, but the more I see of him in re games, the less impressed I am.

Gus is best in the offseason when we don't have weekly reminders of how much our team sucks and how unprepared we are.
