The NFL has taken the cover up sack by Ryan Davis and credited Branch with the sack for his initial hit and forced fumble.

 

I remember thinking Branch had two sacks and two forced fumbles in the game, because forced fumbles on the QB are usually considered sacks, and assumed I got the players number mixed up.

2 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. What a season debut by Branch.

Figured this would happen. Clearly a forced fumble/sack by Branch and cover up tackle for Davis.

Seven sacks in his last eight games played. He needs to create his sacks more often, but he's definitely getting better.

more often? i'll take 7 sacks per 8 games all season long.

Branch is also solid in the run game and a good tackler on top of his improved pass rush. You dont see Branch missing many tackles!

Though this season may turn out to be garbage.  I do get the feeling that stars will emerge on this roster.   The sheer disappointment of being completely dazed and confused in the second half did cover up a lot of positives.

Andre branch had 5 of his 6 sacks after the bye week last year.  Has a switch flipped?  I do remember seeing him around the QB alot vs phili.

I thought he sucked? Nothing but stunts got him 6 sacks last year. Remember, coaches have to make a scheme for him to actually be good, Alfie said so!!

He may not be the most bendy DE out there, but Jagwired'd (I think) made a great point to me this last offseason.

 

When the guy locks onto the QB, that QB usually goes down in a very unpleasant manner. If it takes a little scheming to get the most out of that, so be it.

He didn''t even have him on his projected 53 this offseason. Dude is a clown and he's got his whole hipster army eating his crap up.

Lol Alualu finds his niche at 5 tech and Branch should be cut.


Meanwhile... outside of Imagination Land... Alualu gets blown out of his gap for a 40 yard TD run, and Branch has 2 sacks and a forced fumble.


You can get the same, if not better, football insight from your next door neighbor.
