Does anyone remember this? Steve Beuerlein has hated the Jags ever since.

It is a shame Steve Beuerlein no longer liked the Jaguars after that because he was our first pick in the expansion draft.
some things from 20 years ago are a little foggy but I will never forget the feeling , excited laughter ,ran outside to blow the car horn , then grabbed a handgun and emptied a mag into the back yard, watching it in the video still get the feeling

I'd hate to see what you will do if they ever win a Super Bowl..

What a great memory that was for those of us old enough to remember it.
Oh, how much younger TC looked back then.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
Quote:What a great memory that was for those of us old who were Jaguars fans long enough to remember it. Fixed. I became a Jaguars fan in 1997.
There seems like there could be potentially a lot of parallels from that team to the current one.
Beuerlein = Henne Brunell = Bortles Beuerlein benched for Brunell week 5 = tentative start date for Bortles and essentially Henne's benching

God that was such a boring game barring the victory. That first season was rough.

Quote:God that was such a boring game barring the victory. That first season was rough. Well it was officially the first win for the Jags as an underdog.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
The Jags were 4-12 that first season.
Last season the Jags were 4-12. Hmmmmmmmmm, I wonder if that means anything?
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Quote:Hey, we beat the Browns TWICE and the hated Steelers at home! We didn't really HATE the Steelers at that point, since it was our 1st ever game against them. The Steelers ended up going to the SB, making the Jags the first expansion team ever to beat a team during the regular season that went on to go to the SB. It did become a great rivalry though. I do miss that.

That day, in a stadium getting it's first taste of Steeler Fan, we learned by the end of the 1st quarter to hate the Steelers. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato
I still hate the Steelers. Can't wait to get a shot at them next month!!!

I remember Al del Grecko missing that FG. I also remember eating at Fazoli's during the game. I will always remember that.
One of these years.............
