Tim Graham of the Buffalo News reports that Pegula, who also owns the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL, has reached “tentative agreement” to buy the team and that the official announcement should indeed come on Tuesday. Per Graham, the purchase price is in the neighborhood of $1 billion.

With Pegula buying the team there's almost no chance the Bills will be moving.

Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula have reached an agreement with the Bills to become the team's next owner.


It's a huge relief to the city of Buffalo, as it means the team is staying put. Per WGR 550's Joe Buscaglia, fans are calling into sportstalk radio with tears of joy. Pegula is a far better fit to take over for Ralph Wilson than other rumored bidders such as Donald Trump and Jon Bon Jovi.
