Denard Robinson.. What happened?

#1

Does anyone know why DRob stopped getting touches? He was playing pretty well an then all of a sudden it was Todman.

I don't understand what happened..

I wonder if he missed any blitz pickup assignment?

Thats usually something coaches frown upon.

Conspiracy. They didn't want DRob to have a break out game and create a starting rb controversy.  The front office wants Gerhart, their prized free agent signee, to be the featured back.

He made a little something out of nothing a couple times... And then we didn't see him again

But he has shown to be consistent even with this oline, stretch plays, off tackle, up the gut, he's doing a good job of getting positive plays.

The guy is just not very good or dependable.  The coaches do not trust him.  Move on.

He has straight line speed, that's about it.

Especially when you're a former quarterback

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

3 carries for 8 yards. We really weren't missing anything.

kind of a small sample size to say we weren't missing anything.

I too, wish D-Rob would have had more touches. He looked good in extremely limited action.

I was wondering the same thing considering Im not a Todman fan. I would have rather seen DRob get more action.

The run blocking was bad, but the running backs were worse...

You mean the same sample size to conclude that he looked good?

he almost broke a long one but someone missed their block. Drob is a home run threat and thats what many of us are so excited about.

He had a nice run for six, maybe seven yards on first down. Got close to first down on the next play, and then on the third consecutive run was stopped short of the marker. Not the most creative playcalling on third down there and the LBs  sniffed it out and shot the gaps to stifle it.

Here's the first down run for 6 or so. He saw a tiny crease and accelerated through it very nicely.

i wonder if he could have stopped and shifted to the outside?

the video shows him try to juke the defender, but there really was nowhere to go when the guy in front of him didn't bite. There was a LB in place to block him from getting outside.  The GIF just doesn't show the whole picture. It does show his quick ID of the crease and acceleration through it. Which is encouraging to me.

(unless you mean right after the handoff.  in that case I think he's being coached to get north and south quickly and he did so.)
