Either she has some kind of mental problem and needs to seek help or she's simply looking at her relationship with him as a career move where she puts up with getting beat up for a while and ends up rich the rest of her life.

 

If it's the former then the NFL really should have provided some counselor for her to talk to when this incident came to light. There's no reason for her to be married to him other than financial gain.

Prenuptial agreements don't protect people from all damages, especially with the proof that he was physically beating her in this manner.

 

I don't doubt a decent lawyer could get a judge to throw out any agreement if she can show she's abused (and that's not hard to show at this point) and deserves to live out her life "in the fashion to which she's become accustomed."

Agreed. There really isn't any reason why she should still be marrying him at this point other than a future divorce and cashing in.
