Who is the C official?

I know about the referee, umpire, back judge, side judge, field judge, like judge, and head linesman. While watching VT beat OSU, I saw an official with the letter C on his back, which I had never seen before. He was standing behind the offense. Are there 8 field officials now?

He is obviously the Coach of all the officials. Keeps them in proper position and works up plays for them to stay out of the way of the players.....
