Imagine if Bradley shocked us all and made Bortles the surprise starter...

Would be quite shrewd and maybe really catch the Eagles off guard.

I half expected that to happen on Monday or Tuesday actually.  I figure it'll happen by November anyway.

I would be ecstatic if that were to happen.

It would be completely uncharacteristic of the entire regime and go against what is best for our long term future. It'd be exciting though.

Maybe Khan changed his timeline tolerance for the rebuild and let Gus know this evening...

My first Jags game (I live 5 hours south of Jax so I dont go to many) was the 2004 late season debacle against the Texans. We could've clinched a playoff spot with a win IIRC. It was like 20 degrees and rainy, and Leftwich and the Jags stunk it up.

My most vivid memory was of a very fat woman with missing teeth a few rows behind us yelling "PUT IN JERRAAAAAAAAAD!" after every incomplete pass. I will never forget it lol.

Most definitely.

its dumb not to play bortles, the eagles have an average defense maximum this season, it would be a good team to start against.  They aren't a defense thats going to make him question his manhood

The Eagles D-coordinator said they prepared for both.

Then again... he also said Henne and Bortles were similar, so I'm not sure how true that is.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

No kidding?? Thats actually good on their part that they did prepare for both, even if their rhetoric regarding Bortles is a little off.

Put the bottles and pipes down fellas.  As much as we'd all like to see it...not happening tomorrow.

Possibly the dumbest thing ever said from a coach if true.

Bortles throwing left handed is still better than trash Henne.

That has not stopped Eagles defensive coordinator Billy Davis from covering all of his bases, however.

I don't think it's going to drastically make you have two different type game plans. We're looking at their offense in general, the structures. They're very similar quarterbacks. They really are. I've watched a lot of both of them."

I mean, it's just going to be like the Leftwich / Garrard days... when the Henne led offense is absolutely garbage, the fans and media will start demanding for Bortles. He'll be starting before the bye week.

Going against what's best for our long term future? Not really.

And as much as I want Bortles to start this isn't the week. Let him gal full reps in practice before his first start.
