That is a classy move by the Bengals.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Great job by bengals but I think it would've been better had they just gave him a donation rather than waste a PS spot. Unless the dude is infact worthy of a PS spot.

I don't know if he was signed to the practice squad solely to help pay for his daughter's treatment.  If so, then it is a very classy move on the part of the Bengals organization.  The "football" part of me tends to think that they feel this guy can turn into a productive player in the future, but is currently hampered by off-the-field personal issues.

Nice move on their part.

Mike Brown has gotten a lot of deserved heat for the way he has run that franchise over the years.

He will get a LOT of deserved PRAISE for such generosity and concern.

I wonder what Still would do if another team tried to sign him off the Bengals' practice squad.

In any event, I sincerely hope his beautiful daughter recovers completely.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

An update to the story, looks like he's been promoted to the active roster.

Bengals promoted DT Devon Still from the practice squad.

The No. 52 overall pick of the 2012 draft, Still was released at final cuts, but passed through waivers unclaimed. He'll provide depth, and is unlikely to be active for Week 2.
