What are your thoughts on Reynolds at LB?

Looks like he beat out Dekoda Watson. What are your thoughts?
I was hoping Watson would win the job. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
He only beat out Watson bc of injury. Give it a week, maybe two.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

I do think Reynolds is very serviceable though.
I think he's kind of a Clint Ingram type of player. Watson has shown what we want him to do - rush the passer. I think he'll end up being the starter in a few weeks.

Reynolds has speed too. Game speed. He can hit a hole as fast as anybody on the team. Another good problem to have that will be fun to watch play out.
I think Reynolds has shown more than Clint Ingram did. Wasn't very impressed with him.
Only a chump boos the home team!
I like Reynolds. He's a physical presence and has a knack for making plays behind the line of scrimmage. He ran in the mid to high 4.5's at his Pro Day so he isn't slow.
I've been a fan of Reynolds since we signed him as a rookie free agent. He reminds me of Rocky McIntosh when he was the starting SLB for the 'Skins.

Should be a good position battle to watch throughout the season. That is ideal if you don't have a knockout stud for a starter. Have two guys who deserve playing time and can produce.
I like Reynolds. I feel comfortable with him out there. He's getting better in his second year.
Like someone said, it's a good problem to have.
Shock the world
I have a feeling we'll see Reynolds in there for first and second downs and expected running plays with Watson rotating in on pass rushing downs, but I'm cool with Reynolds starting. When the staff feels Watson has more to offer they'll make the move. I'm inclined to believe they'll make the right call. They went out of their way to bring in Watson. If they are starting LaRoy (an UDFA) ahead of him - you can bet your butt they have a good reason.

That alone should say something about him.

Watson also has better length.
I'd like to see Laroy eventually be the primary backup OTTO and MLB.
When I read the name LaRoy Reynolds, my first thought is "tackle without a helmet." That was a highlight play on TV, but I can't remember how his helmet came off.
When we went after Dakoda Watson, was the idea to have a competition for the starting job or did the coaches think Reynolds was not ready for it? As far as calling it a "good problem to have," well, don't tell Russell Allen that. If he did not have to retire, I don't think we would have tried to get Watson.
To me, Reynolds is a more physical player, while Watson is a faster player and a better blitzer/pass rusher.
I think had Watson not been hurt, he would be the starter, but I have to credit Reynolds for making the most of his opportunity. If Watson continues to make plays rushing the passer, eventually he'll get more playing time at Reynolds' expense. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Agreed Bullseye, I have to credit Reynolds and Babich/Wash.
