Team Captains

Any idea who the team captains are this year?

I'd venture

Offense: Henne, Shorts

Defense: Poz, Cyp, Red

Special Teams: Scobee

Has Lewis been a captain before?

Generally the starting quarterback is an offensive captain. Josh Scobee has been our special teams captian for years,. Paul Posluszny should also get that title. Buy why Red Bryant? He just got here this year. Jason Babin would make more sense.

Would the captains get a C patch if we did not have 20th season patches this year?

I don't know, but he shouldn't be one IMHO.

Henne? How many captains are standing on the sidelines which is what he'll be doing after 4 or 5 games.

True, but most team's starting qb isn't one of their worst players.

So we no longer have Babin the Barber? I thought he signed a contract to stay in Jacksonville.

Generally you have 1-3 Captains per unit. Gabbert was never a captain here. However it seems like a lot of team has rallied around Chad. Red seems to have come in and taken charge of the front four. Wouldn't surprise me if he was voted a Captain.

True, but when it happens it usually means your team is below average, as is your QB.

Why would the Jets give a captain title to a discard-pile linebacker they picked up during camp?

How many captains do we have now?

I know we used to have 3, but then JDR was bullied into having 6 because he didn't want to offend certain players....

So did we go back to 3, or did we still retain the stupid, diluting of importance 6?....

Nothing's allowed to be a simple, neutral fact with you, is it? Show me some proof that Del Rio was "bullied" rather than simply deciding to have six captains, please.

He initially awarded 3 captains that year....and one of them didn't include Mike Peterson (which was probably JDR spite to begin with) so there allegedly was unrest in the locker room and JDR comes out days later and awards 3 more captains with Peterson being amongst them....

You make of that what you wish. I see it as caving.

Oh and you never did answer the simple question.....do we still have 6 captains or did we go back to 3?
