South Carolina was #9 and got blown out at home by #21 TAMU in the first game of the 2014 season. What changes do you think we will see in the AP Top 25, based on that and Saturday's completed games?

Don't really think anyone that won should drop. First week and lots of teams looked a little rusty. Texas A&M should wise to at least 13 though

They were ranked based on the fact they had Heisman hopeful Braxton Miller at Quarterback. Braxton Miller is no longer the quarterback and Ohio St. struggled with Navy. Ohio St.

In basketball, the AP rankings drop after wins in certain situations. I would think they would in football, too. For example.... if LSU was #25 and beat #1 Alabama, Ohio St. was #24 Ohio St. went to Overtime with Jacksonville St., it would make sense for LSU to jump Ohio St., no?

Hail, you are supposed to know I am only talking about what does happen, not what should happen. And what does happen is the Buckeyes stay ranked #5 because they won.

This is what I don't understand: The Sporting News - where I got the rankings from - still has South Carolina at #9 and TAMU at #21 . . . in Week 3. Cam somebody explain that one?

I know you aren't the brightest bulb of the bunch, but scenarios where teams win but still drop do happen.

Where did you find it? I looked at ESPN.com, SI.com, Bleacher Report, The Sporting News, www.collegefootball.com, and the AP's official website and all of them still list the preseason rankings.

Also, TAMU was ranked #21, so you are wrong about the n/r. And Ohio State was #5 in the AP.

I was only correcting Cat Attack, who said OSU was #6 in the AP last week. They were #6 in the coaches poll, not the AP.

Why does SI.com have an article about the coaches poll update, but still show the preseason AP rankings? All I care about is the AP poll update!
