Quote:some of your problems is, you guys expect him to be a finished product before he gets the start. thats not the way it works. development happens when you are playing on the field. there is only so much you can learn on the sidelines, especially now with the rule changes. what do yall expect him to be? he has already proven that he is an nfl capable starter, what do yall want from the kid? what does the coaching staff want from the kid? does he need to throw for 300 yards in 1 quarter and throw 2 or 3 td in that time frame. what does the kid have to do, to show you he can play while also developing. also, offensive line look better or worse depending on who they have behind center. if you have a qb with good pocket presence and is illusive enough to keep of multiple defenders, than you don't have to have the best o-line. if henne gets hurt behind this line, blake will just have to go out there and play behind the exact same line, thus defeating that point if thats why he' not playing. he's already shown that he's not like gabbert in that he doesn't mind getting hit, i think he likes it to be honest.

This guy thinks highly of his opinions. There's a key on the keyboard called a shift key. Maybe check it out. It's awesome.

Maybe he would have won more superbowls if he started earlier? Makes about as much sense

It won't take Henne long to bomb.   As soon as he throws four or five floaters in a game the Bortles era will begin.

Great. It's still 3 weeks too late.

Some people would rather just give bortles the job next year than hand it to him this year based on merit. Timing just seems right. Reward the guy. He deserves it. This is no message to send.

Quote:They drafted Bortles when everyone said not to. They gained my trust to make a good decision

This. I was at the draft party in Jax when myself and the majority of the crowd booed their hearts out when Commissioner Goodell said "Blake..."

Gus had a team gutted of all his veterans like Dawan Landry, watched his team go 0-8, and kept the ship sailing straight with ending the year 4-4 with little talent

Pulling a 6th rounder for Gabbert, getting the most out of Branch, attracting high pedigree free agents like Clem, Big Red, and even Alex Mack, not overpaying aging running backs like Mojo. Give Caldwell credit for even saying on his first day on the job "even if he's released" at a time where our owner, who had just hired him, was very much into the idea of signing Tebow. They said this would take time... Give them time. They get paid a lot to make the right decisions and see the bigger picture

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
