The pressure. Its beginning. Who is feeling it after one pre-season game?

#1

Fun little thread here, Who do you think is feeling the pressure already to perform to either make the team or keep a starting spot?

My list:

1. Marquise Lee - Called out by the coach. Invisible. He needs to respond and give us some hope he isnt just another guy.

2. Mike Brewster - Essentially in the dog house as far as starting positions go. He needs to have a good game to restore confidence.

3. Chad Henne - I really hope he is the starter come Week 1 for Bortles' sake. However if he continues to perform like crap while Bortles shines. It won't happen. Do us all a favor henne' and Do better.

4. Kerry Taylor - My oh my does those drops look bad. Sink or Swim Taylor. I doubt you get too many more shots with shorts/Robinson coming back soon.

5. Josh Evans - He may back his way into the roster but unless he does better, He'll be on bench where he belongs.

Bonus: Justin Blackmon - WHERE ART THOU. WE NEED YOU. I know Mary Jane is a sweet sweet lady but you gotta resist brah!

Jeremy Harris.. missed last season and is not a lock to make the team. Needs to show up Thursday.
Only a chump boos the home team!

McLendon.. He got mauled against the Bucs. Granted they have a very good interior defensive line, but he needs to do better, especially with Gus experimenting with Bowanko and Brewster at OG this week
10 years ago we had Bob Hope, Johnny Cash, and Steve Jobs..... Please don't die, Kevin Bacon.

I wouldnt say Jeremy Harris, I think they treat him like a rookie and he has had a pick in each of the last 2 practices so I think he is safe. If a Harris is feeling the pressure I think its Mike Harris

I think the whole Marqise Lee thing is way overblown.

Pressure should be Mike Brewster's middle name right now.

Umm Chad Henne.  His play reeks.

Henne might force the Jags to start Bortles before he is ready.

Just worried about Henne being Henne.

Add Mike Brown and Jordan Todman.

I think Brewster is feeling the most heat right now... the starting job was handed to him and it was his to lose...

I can't help but wonder if all of Gus' glowing remarks about Henne's camp performance were justified or is Henne just another example of someone who fails to shine when the lights come on, because what I saw last Friday night didn't bolster any confidence in his being a new and improved QB. It looked like the same old Henne to me ....

Jordan Todman is an excellent name to add to the pressure cooker. Gerhart, Robinson, and Johnson all have talent/potential (Robinson's pressure cooker is ready for next year though if he doesnt do well this year). Todman better ball the next 3 games

Agreed.  I heard Gus' comments on Lee, and while it wasn't flattering, it wasn't really a call out either.

As far as who is under pressure, it's Brewster without a doubt.  That center position is a critical one to get resolved, and he was the frontrunner coming into training camp.  Can he get past the two botched snaps from last week?  We'll see.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Force the jags to do something. That's a new one....

What does it feel like to wake up every day knowing you're really THAT stupid.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Brewster. No way those two bad snaps aren't in his head.

He went from taping his wrist to a sweat type band. He's trying everything.

Hopefully he straightens up. Going into the season with questions on arguably the most important position on the O Line is not good.

Three more games to get it together.
