Mexico Complains That Texas Is Sending National Guard Troops to the Border

#21

Quote:It is hard to look at one state's economic model and assume it will apply on a national level. Texas has a huge energy and IT market. How would that same plan apply to other states? Clinton came from Arkansas which is perrenially one of the poorest states and he had the best economic tenure of any president in the past 50 years (not that he was entirely responsible for it). Sound principles should be able to be universally applied, but seeing ways to take advantage of the economy of a state is far easier than trying to identify and exploit these opportunities across a nation.

It wasn't the first two years of his presidency that gave us good times. Something happened in 1994 that changed the course of the nation. Now, what was it? Let me see..........

That's true, there were several other factors that led to that boom including the Reagan years, but we do know that Americans don't like Democrat presidents having control of the House of Representatives. Electing a Dem these days pretty much causes the House to go R in the next election cycle. People vote for style to the White House, then they remember that the substance is distasteful.

I don't think anyone could have predicted the impact Ace of Base would have on our economy.

We should've seen the signs.
