Out of Curiosity

I'm not certain I'll have a whole lot of time this upcoming year (I'll be in India for11 months), but if I do, would you guys like me to continue my write-ups on prospects? I only did QBs this past year because that was our primary need (and royally undervalued Bortles, I might add. I'll eat crow on that one.) I feel confident in my abilities to branch out, however.

I ask because you guys seem to enjoy/find them enlightening. If not, no harm done. I was just curious.

Sure, if you find the time. Why not?

And, by the way - you don't yet know that you undervalued Bortles. Caldwell may have grossly overvalued him. Let's hope not.

Love your write ups. I appreciate the time and objectivity you put into you analysis. Personally, I like the QB ones and think they are the best ones to do. Even if we aren't looking for a QB, it's nice to get a feel for what QBs will make a splash at the next level.

When I say I undervalued him, I mean that I didn't give him the same chance I gave the other QBs. I gave Carr, Manziel, and Teddy three games each, at different points and competition levels. In contrast, I only did one game for Blake which was against his hardest competition all year and slid him on the backburner afterwards cause he didn't impress me that one time. I was biased.

Ok, that makes sense. You under-scouted him.

Who are you scouting in India? Is this going to be the football version of the baseball movie (the Disney flick with John Hamm)?

Or are you scouting for the best in customer service?

Oh yeah, there's this one Indian teenager.... Five two, 160. Big future in the NFL. Big Grin

Nah, I'm going to college for a year there on an exchange program, in addition to some other stuff. I'm gonna have to foot a seventy dollar pricetag to be able to watch the NFL nine and a half hours late.

Wow - trying to pick up the NFL in India. Hope you're not into betting. Now, if it was cricket ...

Good luck.

I agree with Hail above, I appreciate your effort. I liked what you did, agreed with most and, naturally, disagreed with some but enjoyed it nonetheless.

It would be cool if you looked at another position group, an upcoming Jaguars need (but not punters, lol). It would also be cool if you could include a paragraph here and there about your life in India- where you are, the food, how money is exchanged/handled, etc., anything you find interesting- traffic, people's actions/habits, etc.

so what are you doing in India if you don't mind me asking? I'd thought about some mental health counseling down there.

Have you been to India before?  I was there last year for a few weeks for work.  It's definitely culture shock, but I was able to get out and see a ton while I was there.  I've worked with people that would never go back, but I would go back in a minute.

Let me say this....bring toilet paper everywhere you go.  Just trust me.

Oh yeah toilet paper is definitely in the plans. Haha. Nah I've never been out of the country, so when I had the chance I jumped on it.

Lol. I've never traveled abroad before so I'm curious as to why you say this.

I'll give you a hint. When in India, always shake people's right hand.

Where did you go? I may be going to Hyderabad at some point in the next year. I have been to Chennai before.

Great --- now we're going to be getting our football updates from India too.   As if outsourcing every single call center wasn't enough.
