Quote:Mourners were shocked when a 3-year-old girl woke up during her own funeral in the Philippines.

The girl was brought to a local clinic last week after experiencing a high fever for several days, police told the Philippine Star.

A day later, doctors declared her dead after no longer feeling a pulse.

Video of the funeral went viral after a mourner saw the unnamed girl's head move while arranging the coffin. Someone checked her pulse and found that she was, indeed, alive, the Daily Mirror reported.

The girl was given water, taken back to a clinic for observation and returned to her family.

How in the absolute heck do you lose pulse for that long and still manage to stay alive?

I've heard of diseases and mixes that will lower your pulse or even terminate it for an hour or so but not like this

If you ask her, I bet she says it's better than the alternative of a "uneventful funeral"........ Wink

This is the PI.  People there still commonly see witch doctors for relief from ailments.  Formal medical training there is cursory.  I served on board ship with a guy who was married to a doctor in the Philippines.  Once stateside she had to go back to school in order to qualify as a nurse.

Hydroponic weed. A decade with teen children have taught me that this is not only possible, but not all that uncommon.......

Note to self: Don't get sick in the Philippines.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
