ESPN topic: Is Tom Brady still a top 5 QB?

#1

I saw this on ESPN today and its obvious we've reached the slow season. But the question remains, is Brady still a top 5 QB? Who would be your top 5?

I would take a team that consistently wins and has that shot to win in the postseason than a lot of qb's out there.

when it comes down to it though, the majority of the games are played in the regular season and he is just the best there is. just on another level.

Benefit of doubt (after a off year), I would say he is a top 5 QB.  He'll probably have 2 to 3 years at the elite top 5 level with one of the years being a trademark Tom Brady is better than Manning and is GOAT year.  Then a couple of off years before he retires.  I can't see him playing after 5 to 6 more seasons.

Guys who are top 5 no matter what list:  Manning, Brees, Rodgers.  The 5th spot would go to Luck/Rivers/Eli.  To say two of the fringe guys are better than Brady would be pushing it.  Kaep and Wilson are knocking on the door as well, but they have great coaches and talent around them so their short period of success doesn't weigh heavy against Brady.

Brady

Brees

Manning

Rodgers

Top 4 in no particular order. These guys are always consistently elite no matter their weapons. Everyone else is in a lower category

Edit: I actually think it's Belichick that's holding Brady back right now. I think Belichick is getting near the Andy Reid type situation he had in Philly.

I agree but he is not over Rodgers or Brady IMO.  If they were on that Den team the SB would of been a lot closer if didnt win it.
