It certainly won't be surprise and you know you won't have to wait very long for it. At least we got that going for us.

Same ol....  I'm sure it will be a pick six as well.  If Henne plays well that is when the surprise happens.

Probably something like "Why in the heck is he the only QB who ever throws interceptions?!? Bench him!"

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

I'd probably be excited that it wasn't a 6th tipped pass.

Same old.

I just hope Henne doesn't play 2011 Jets game McCown levels of bad. So bad that you have to try to be that bad.

Or 2012 Raiders game Henne levels of bad.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Worst game in Jaguars history, Garrard at Tennesse (2006).

Nothing will top it. Ever.

I recall Jonathan Quinn had a pretty bad game or two.

Garrard/Leftwich vs Texans, 2004.  One of only three shutouts for the Jags.

I'd cringe, not because of the INT, but because of the potential fear that Caldwell and Bradley must unveil Bortles imediately due to fanbase pressure. Look, I don't care if Henne comes out and throws 16 INT's compared to 14 TD's this season. They absolutely MUST NOT rush this kid out into the starting line-up as a rookie. Please let this kid learn. If Henne gets injured, that's one thing. But to bench him flatout due to performance would be a mistake IMHO. And, to be quite honest, I don't think Henne is going to be terrible this year. I think he's going to be up-and-down as a starter, but I think he'll do just enough to get the job done and show some promise for the talent that's around him on the offense and for what Bortles will eventually be selected to work with down the road.

I look at it this way too, let's say we stick with Henne all the way, and it lands us a 7 - 9 record, that's not really a bad thing. I'd rather finish 7-9, compared to potentially ruining Bortles and rushing him out there to finish probably worse than 7-9. I think in 2015 we'll end up landing some more quality players. The one player I'd like to see us walk out of the 2015 draft next year with is Todd Gurley out of UGA. The RB position has lost value, we could probably snatch him up in RD2 next year depending on how he finishes this season. But that would be an awesome selection. We'll probably target another TE too with Lewis reaching the end of his contract and getting up there in age.

You say that man, but, don't get me wrong, I am huge Bulldogs fan. Gurley is incredible. But he has a lot of nagging injuries on his track record so far. And I think when you consider that guys like Richardson and Ingram, both of which I think are the last two RB's to be taken in the first round, those guys haven't been all that impressive in the NFL. So, I don't know. I think saying that Gurley falls into the middle of RD2 is actually a compliment when you consider that we just witnessed a record setting low for when the first RB was taken off the board in any NFL draft........

What will the fans reaction be if Bortles first game is like 12 for 26 3 ints no tds?

One thing I'm pretty confident of. Neither Caldwell or Bradley are going to be swayed by anyone to play Bortles until he's absolutely ready to go. They clearly have a plan. I don't see them deviating from it for anything but injury.

My rxn: that's like the third ball tipped at the LOS, I guess he was due to get caught for an interception.
