The rich get richer. Surprised they didn't burn one of their umpteen thousand picks this year to get him.
thats just a good trade. cant really argue with that.

What's more...
The 49ers still have FIVE selections tonight.

Quote:I swear that team's going to be stashing third-rounders on their practice squad this year. That's the problem, if they don't stick, someone else will claim them. Or, a good vet could be cut to manage salary. I suppose that's a good problem to have. Keep drafting the best players, and there you are.

Quote:What's more... yeah they have done a terrific job drafting the past few years. free agency. all of it. im hoping the jags make some moves and get at least 2 picks out of round 2 tonight.

Thats the kind of trade that might have been good for us to make. (given Blackmon's unknown availability).
I wonder if that was on Caldwell's radar. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Thats the kind of trade that might have been good for us to make. (given Blackmon's unknown availability).I disagree, we're still in rebuilding mode, not a "player away" like SF.
I'm a little surprised that Cleveland didn't try and get Johnson included in the package last night, considering how well he'd fit opposite Gordon in that offense.
Quote:I disagree, we're still in rebuilding mode, not a "player away" like SF. For the price, its not a bad deal. You think you're getting a receiver that good with the 4th rounder? I mean, its possible, but doubtful. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:For the price, its not a bad deal. You think you're getting a receiver that good with the 4th rounder? I mean, its possible, but doubtful. I'd bet Caldwell is thinking "Yeah, I can get someone as good in the fourth round of this draft." He's nothing special (anymore). If he was, the Bills would be keeping him. This is Buffalo we're talking about - not exactly overstocked with front-line players. Caldwell will be looking for someone cheaper, with less injury history, while retaining his picks.

Caldwell will probably draft a receiver better than Johnson in round 2 or 3, and will draft a starting lineman in round 4.

I know it was on mine. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
