Rams take Manziel?

#1
(This post was last modified: 05-05-2014, 12:52 PM by BritishJag.)

This might sound a little crazy but over the weekend Louis Riddick said he'd heard rumours of a huge trade involving the QB position.

On Friday the Rams worked out Johnny Manziel and Les Snead met the Texas A&M OC.

Can anyone see the Rams trading away Bradford to someone like the Vikings or Browns and taking Manziel #2 overall?

Edit: Just after I posted this, I saw this on Twitter:

I think Lacanfora is the biggest full of you know what NFL reporter out there. I see guys like Schefter and Glazer breaking stories.

Honestly, what does Lacanfora do?

How committed are they to Bradford?  That is the question.

I don't see Bradford getting more than a 4th round pick if they try to trade him.

Coming off knee re-construction surgery a 4th might be too much.

If so, lets hope the Texans take Bortles!

Bradford is due 27 million in base salary the next two years.

Why would anybody trade for that contract?

I'm not a Bradford fan so, I wouldn't give up anything for him.

Minnesota would consider this?  That's just nuts.

What exactly else are the Rams willing to part with for Minnesota take Bradford off their hands?

No kidding. Minnesota would be better off just drafting one of the QB's which is much cheaper, and at worst, no worse talentwise than what they would be getting in Bradford.

The Vikings aren't dumb enough to trade for the leagues most overpaid player, Sam Bradford is arguably one is the biggest draft busts in the last 10 years. He's lucky he doesn't play in a bigger market, the Rams would be wise to draft the highest rated QB at 2, and simply cut ties with Sam. They won't be in a position to draft a QB this high for a while, that team is really talented.

If the Vikings have any interest in Bradford, they should wait.  If the Rams really want Manziel, let them draft him, then decide what they're going to do with Bradford.  Odds are, he'd wind up being released, in which case no team would have to pony up anything to get him.

They should really just keep Bradford.  They won't get much, and they should just let whoever they draft compete for the starting spot.

Well, it doesnt look like neither of the top 2 teams fell for the early Teddy hype like some on this board did. Was hoping Hou. fell for it but it seemed they were never interested.

But, they tanked for him, didn't they?

Yep. And Kubiak laughed all the way to the bank with that under-the-table "lose at all cost" money.

Isn't that all that's really required?
