Falcon not interested in trading up to first pick?

If true this confirms the interview I saw a couple of months ago from Dimitroff, indicating the Falcons were not interested in going up to one, but may be interested in going up to three. Hopefully this means the Texans are not interested in Clowney, and there will be less demand for that top pick. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Good God, would this draft please hurry up and happen? I don't know how much more I can take in the way of mock drafts and smokescreen speculation.
John McClain the main beat guy for the Texans said the price he heard for the 1st pick was the Falcons 1st, 2nd, 4th this year and 1st next year too. If that is true I can see why the Falcons aren't interested anymore because that is absurd.

If Clowney is still on the board at #3, look for Dimitroff to burn up the phone lines with Caldwell.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Because no one would fib pre-draft.

Agreed....though the greedy so and so in me would want the same thing if the Falcons were to call the Jaguars looking to deal up, even though I know they would never pay that. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

I think Caldwell would be less greedy, but he'd be looking for some value in a trade. He's not giving 3 away, even if it's to his buddy in Atlanta. Never argue with idiots. Quote:I bet he would, but unless Atlanta offered what Houston supposedly asked for, I'm not sure I would trade down. The Falcons 1st and 2nd this year, and their 1st next year would get the deal done. They can keep their 4th rounder. Never argue with idiots. Quote:Done. I doubt Atlanta would bite because of the 1st rounder next year. But, if they truly see Clowney as a once in a generation player, they're going to have to pony up. Otherwise, the Jags are just going to have to suffer with the consequences of drafting Clowney themselves. As painful as that sounds, I think Caldwell would sleep well on Thursday night. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:I think the first next year would be the deal breaker. Oh, I agree. But, you might as well swing for the fences. What's the worst case scenario? You end up with Clowney? Darn the luck. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
