Murray impessess Bradley at pro day, the only head coach in attendance
|
This is the sleeper qb pick for us IMO.
The Jaguars’ Gus Bradley was the only head coach in attendance. The Jaguars had seven people from the organization on hand, including offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch and quarterbacks coach Frank Scelfo. The Jaguars staff coached at the Senior Bowl, where Murray spent a few days around the South team, even though he wasn’t playing. “We have, as much as you can, a good feel for his personality, his competitiveness,” Bradley said. “That’s off the charts. Then to see how fast he came back and how he’s doing it and the drills that he did, very impressive. ... The big thing was to see how he’s progressed through that injury and how he’s come back. If nothing else, it shows how competitive he is. To come back from an injury like that, I think it just reassured us of what we thought we already knew.” Dave coming from Georgia and watched him through out his college career is a big plus http://m.jacksonville.com/sports/2014-04...as-pro-day We show less advertisements to registered users. We could stand to add two QBs, since we need a backup as well as a franchise guy. Draft, develop, then reassess where you stand.

Murray is another panic-driven offering. He's a fifth to sixth round talent automatically elevated due to a lack of true quarterback talent. Not only is he damaged goods, he projects as just average to below average as a quarterback.
McCarron is the choice of quarterbacks to take. He has the largest amount of elite talent at the position since Andrew Luck. One look at where the offensive personnel from Alabama are sitting in this draft (the supporting cast of talent) is proof McCarron had much more to do with Nick Saban's sustained success than he is given credit for.

Wonder if we may actually have something in common, lol. I myself am a big Bama fan. Far bigger Bama fan than A&M, Gator, etc...
I want 3 players. Clowney, Bridgewater, Manziel. Jaguars have the number 3 pick. Just give me one of those 3 at 3, and I'm happy.

Was never really impressed by Murray in college, don't see him really doing anything in the league.

Taking advantage of a relatively short trip. Showing multiple options as a possibility. Great poker face. Keep everyone guessing.
Unlike Gene, Caldwell isn't the smartest guy in the room, or at least he isn't worried about people thinking that. He is content if you think he is the smartest or dumbest. I think he wants to use the ambiguity to his advantage.
As a late pick i have no problem with Murray, i am not a fan of AJ though ( sorry Clemson tide fans) just do not know if he will be a good fit in a NFL system, i thought he was more of a product of the system that Bama ran

I'm not sold on Murry. He was looked on as potential Heisman candidate early in his career, but he was never able to take that next big step.
I have a hard time believing he will make that next big step once he makes it to the pros We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:I'm not sold on Murry. Ultimately, I don't think he's one of these QB propsects that can succeed just anywhere you put him. But in the right place with the right coach, I think he can do some really good things. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
Haha, the next time I hear Bradley does anything but gush about anyone publicly will be the first time. This quote could literally be about every player that I've ever heard him talk about.

Just like he was in college.
If that RV sales place wants Tebow in Jax bad enough to take out a billboard saying as much.....they should just HIRE him.
