Dad says john gruden should be hired

#1

He said in the first year gus was HC hes not the one for jags, and he won't make it. he thought he should've been fired after that 0-8 start that season. he was right about him not being the one.

He has no told me a couple times if Jags hire Gruden in 3 years he would have them in the Super Bowl.

Your dad doesn't seem very smart about football Wolfie. Sorry man. I know he's your dad and you cherish his opinion, I get it, but he's still wrong.

So because he said Gus was bad (which most people did) he has a worthwhile opinion on who would succeed here?...

Hard pass on Jon Gruden.

Does your Dad drink heavily?

The longer Gruden remains in the booth the better his record appears.

I forget...was this before or after your infamous 9-7 "book it" guarantee? Because, you (& probably your Daddy) seemed high on the Gus juice back then.

Dad is way off base.

If Jon Gruden takes a HC job, I think it'd be LA.

But Gruden really wasn't that good of a coach, imo.

Wouldn't be mad, but I doubt he'd want to come here.

My gut feeling is there's around an 80 % chance that Jon Gruden remains in the MNF booth.  Gruden seems to enjoy the weekly limelight of that position.

Not to mention how much he's making to work one game a week and do his little "QB camp" tidbits.

He'd work way harder for similar money as a coach.

Absolutely.   Jon Gruden has the ideal job for his brand.
