Trade for Stevie Johnson?
|
Boring Friday so i thought i'd pop on here with a question for you guys.
With the Bills trading a 6th rounder to the Bucs for Mike Williams and rumors about Buffalo's interest in Stevie Johnson, would you throw a 6th or a 7th for him? Mike Williams is the better receiver and was valued as worth a 6th. This scenario would of course assume Caldwell doesn't plan to draft Watkins. We show less advertisements to registered users. When i read the article about the trade, they had mentioned that Stevie was on the hot seat there for some reason. I really haven't looked much into it.

I know he sometimes has a real bad case of the drops....perhaps thats it. He had a couple good seasons years back....I dunno.....I'd be more apt to just address the position in the draft. Caldwell values his picks too much (which i love) to do it anyway, so i know it's not realistic just a thought. I wouldn't be suprised to see another team try. Nahhh too many drops. I still remember that one vs the steelers. Wide open in the end zone and DROP. That cost them the game
I don't think a six would get Stevie Johnson. I also don't think the Bills would actually part ways with him. Mike Williams is far from a sure thing, as evidenced by the sixth-round pick.
When he was a free agent last year I really wanted the Jags to make a play for Stevie Johnson, but they probably wouldn't give up a draft pick, and that's fine.
Buffalo suddenly has a very dangerous receiving Corps, giving no excuse for Manuel not to succeed from a weapons standpoint. The Bills will not exit Stevie Johnson due to signing Williams.

I don't think the bills would trade Stevie! Him woods and Williams is a pretty solid group add Ebron to that mix and ej has no excuse but I think they will draft a tackle
If the Bills got Ebron their skill posisitions would be one of the best in the league, but EJ is trash so whatever.
I would take him, he's a very good player. I would not give up more than a 4 or 5 for him though.

With Ralph Wilson passing I wonder who's running the show up there?

Per rotoworld
ESPN.com's Mike Rodak considers Stevie Johnson's roster spot in jeopardy. Coming off an injury-riddled 2013, Johnson is set to count $8.5 million against the cap. He's a candidate to be released following Buffalo's trade for Mike Williams, with second-year receivers Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin both capable of taking on expanded roles. I wouldn't mind trading a 5th rounder for him. |
