Under the radar potential draftees....

Some sleeper prospects I like for the Jags to consider are:
CB Pierre Desir, 6' 1", 200, .....seems to have a nose for the football, as he has totaled something close to 20 INT's for his college career. Would give our secondary something it lacks. Projected to go in round 3. DE Larry Webster, 6' 6", 261, 4.58, from Bloomsburg U, late round DE prospect with great size for the position as well as good timed speed. IIRC, once recorded 19 QB sacks in a season. Projected to go in round 5-6. FS Deone Buchanon, Washington St, 6' 1", 211, again, a player with a good nose for the football. Would give this secondary something it lacks. Projected to go in round 4. WR Jeff Jaris, Saginaw Valley State, 6'2", 219, 4.42, uber productive WR with good size. projected to go in round 6. WR Montavis Bryant, Clemson, 6' 4", 211, 4.4, very high YPC type, but needs some polish....would be a good add for coach Sullivan to work with. Projected to go in round 4. Love desir wrote a article about him but he's slowly climbing up draft boards I think
Quote:Love desir wrote a article about him but he's slowly climbing up draft boards I think Might have to select him in round 2 if we want him.
Quote:Might have to select him in round 2 if we want him. Idk just can't see them drafting a corner that early this year Quote:Some sleeper prospects I like for the Jags to consider are: It's Martavis Bryant. And no, please pass on him. He's a faster Kelvin Benjamin, and I know how people feel about Benjamin on here. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Idk just can't see them drafting a corner that early this year because our CB now are just soooo good??  #bums

LOVE THEM JAGUARS!
Quote:It's Martavis Bryant. And no, please pass on him. He's a faster Kelvin Benjamin, and I know how people feel about Benjamin on here. Nothing wrong with Benjamin, or someone with a similar skill-set as Benjamin - just not in round1. If Bryant falls to 4 or so, or even lower - he makes a lot of sense. Benjamin in round 2 would make sense for a lot of teams as well.

Howard Jones, LEO (Shepherd)
developmental LEO in round 5-6... Very fast and explosive. 6'2", 235 lbs... would need to bulk up a bit and get coached up, but has a lot of potential.

Quote:Howard Jones, LEO (Shepherd) made some great pop hits in the 80's too!.... B) Quote:How do they feel about Benjamin? A lot of people say they wouldn't take him because of his hands. Bryant's hands are about the same, if not worse than Kelvin's.
Quote:A lot of people say they wouldn't take him because of his hands. Bryant's hands are about the same, if not worse than Kelvin's. thus why a player like that is projected to go in the 4th round or later....otherwise, he'd be a first or 2nd rounder.
Cody Latimer & Hoffman. Both WRs with all the tools, solid production, and special teams experience. Hoffman as a return man and Latimer covering kicks.

Quote:Some sleeper prospects I like for the Jags to consider are: Really like Dessir a lot I think a 3rd round to 4th round guy. I like Jeff Jaris also Another guy is James Gayle from VT solid pass rusher with a good motor and size
I thought Deone Buchanon is supposed to be a 2nd or 3rd rounder? I know Mayock was talking a few of these guys up during the Senior Bowl

Mentioned him before, but I like Elhadji Ndiaye, 6'4 247 DE/OLB from Nebraska-Kearney. Probably goes undrafted(though I'd grab him in the 7th), but he's got pretty good speed/explosion. Hasn't played football for very long, but I think he has the willingness to learn.

Quote:How do they feel about Benjamin? The guy is all over the place. NFL.com draft tracker grades Kelvin Benjamin 6.4 (Instant starter) His grade puts him in a three-way tie for sixth-highest grade. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/tracker#dt...t-by-grade The first-pick.com draft picker recently upped him to a first round number, but if you draft him before the mid second round he provides you a less than "A" grade. http://first-pick.com/ (registration required) Some other formerly reputable draft sites that apparently haven't updated their draft stuff since prior to the NFL Combine have outside the first round. Clearly he will be a pick between 10-32. There are plenty of FSU fans that did NOT appreciate Kelvin prior to this season. Perhaps this last season changed their minds? I know he clearly was a vastly improved player. You aren't drafting him for dropped passes. It's what happens when he catches them.

If Latimer is there in round 3 Dave should sprint to the podium. Highly doubt it though. But considering there are so many good WRs theres a chance he slips.
