I have to say for some reason I have become more so scared at taking a QB than i was before hand. But i have faith in the crew so who ever they take Im down. But I also dont believe they really are looking at a QB this early but who knows.

 

I also still feel a bit nervous about Clowney being a bust but whatever I want to believe the hype and that he wants to be the best.

Sammy Watkins isn't a Calvin Johnson level prospect either. Why is it still okay to take him in the top 5. Luke Joekel wasn't JO or Orlando Pace. How did you feel when the team selected him second overall last year?

My top 3 Bridgewater - Bortles - Mack. I think both have a better than 60-40 shot at being franchise QBs and the #1 rule of drafting is don't pass on a franchise QB. I think Bridgewater has a slightly higher ceiling, which is why I put him at 1. After those 2, I think Mack just offers the most. I also think that unlike Clowney and Barr, he is a football player who is an athlete rather than an athlete who is a football player.

 

I have no idea what their top 3 is. I suspect with all the FAs on the DL, they are leaning towards a QB, but I wouldn't put money on it.

Jags/Caldwell-

1. DE Clowney ...all world potential at impact position if Gus can motivate him.

2. QB Bridgewater ...no QB today besides backup, smart QB with skills will be solid if protected.

3. QB Bortles ...skills to be solid NFL QB with a little time/experience/development.

 

Mine-

1. DE Clowney- see above.  Has ability to take defense up a notch.

2. DE/LB Mack- skills to be impact player with aggressive love for football mindset and hustle.

3. WR Watkins- team needs playmakers and Sammy is a good one.

 

I think Jags will go best available QB if Clowney is not on the board.  I, however, would take one of the top playmakers, and take a lesser QB in round 2 to develop.
