CJ Mosley at the top of round two

#1

Mosley was once slated to go mid-round one, but after the combine he's dropped off a bit and might actually be there when the Jaguars draft to kick off round two. Coming from Alabama he looks to be a natural fit as a Jaguars OLB with plenty of strength, speed and natural instincts. What do you think?

I don't like Players from Bama. They peak in college

I like Van Noy better. He's a natural playmaker, above average in all three phases, and doesn't have the injury history.

Yea there is some concern that Saban maximizes his players' talents while in college so their upside is limited.  Especially ones that dont have the elite physical skills you'd like to see.

If he is there in the 2nd I'd be tempted.  I'd like to see who else is there.

Who says he's been falling? He's still by heads and shoulders the best ILB in this draft class, and should still be a mid first rounder.

He's getting the Alabama "he's a cog in a ubber talented defense" treatment

Quote:31. Denver Broncos: C.J. Mosley, LB, Alabama

Rumor is that Mosley can drop into the second round and isnt as talented as the early indications led us to believe. The Broncos benefit from the overanalyzing of other teams and land a great leader and better player that will center the Broncos already star studded cast of players.

I would be stoked with Mosley in Rd 2 depending on what we do in round 1 and who else is available at the time.

Aside from Trent Richardson and Mark Ingram (who ended the season pretty well last year), I don't think it's fair to say that about any of the other 13 first and second round picks out of Alabama over the last three drafts.  Marcel Dareus, Julio Jones, Dont'a Hightower, Eddie Lacy, and others have been pretty good in the NFL so far.

The Jaguars should have their choice of a few first round talents they like in round 2.
