Everybody talks trade back but I wonder if one of the qbs slide what are the chances if any we go for it with the amt of picks we have.

Seeing as its more or less a given we are going QB or pass rusher at 3, it wouldn't be totally shocking if we came back into the 1st for whatever we didn't take if a guy falls.
I wouldn't bet money on it though. Quote:Just to be different, Bortles.

I hope it's zero.
We need to continue to add talent. If there's a qb worth trading up for and losing picks for it, why not just pick him with our 1st round pick?

When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Quote:I hope it's zero. A good question to ask is if we pick 11 players how many actually make the team?
I would not be surprised to see Caldwell use some of the 4th and 5th round picks to get back into the second or third round. Trading back into the first is less likely IMO.
I think if we get Clowney at 3 and one of the top 3 Qbs drops far enough, based on our day two location we might do it depending on how much it would cost.

If one of the top QBs drops past Minnesota they could be in for a freefall. In that case, if the Jags like him, trading up in front of the Browns at 26 could be a possibility. (Seriously. Try to place a QB to any team between the Vikings and Browns).
Quote:Because you don't take a player you've ranked 20th with the third overall pick. What does a qb ranked 20th look like? If it looks better than Andy Dalton, that surely is worth our 1st pick, isn't it?

There's a real chance we could move back to six in a swap with Atlanta. A team right next to us at four or five could trade up in this draft. Even 7-9 might need to move up. Keep in mind, some teams further down in round one need offensive tackles like we do. If we want to move down slightly and the coast is really, really clear, yes. Otherwise, if you trade down with a gap between the pick you're vacating and the pick you accept, somebody is going to jump your ploy. 30-50% we move back some. And I'd recommend that Jaguars fans explore this with the first-pick.com draft game. Draft as the Jaguars and play very close attention to what happens with the trade offers. It's much more sophisticated than the other one. It does provide realistic trade scenarios, even if they all don't crash down on us at once. Some say it's too easy to trade down, but it does include consequences if you do trade down.

Yeah, who wants to give a way an elite talented offensive tackle to chase an over-rated chump at QB that might be out of football in three years?
