Johnny Football

The negative rumors about his passing ability and football IQ have been overblown.  Just look at the plays he makes reading defenses and throwing the ball in this video.

They're called highlights for a reason. You can't make a solid judgement on a player without seeing his lowlights (for lack of a better term) as well.

This ^^^....Ive watched game film on Johnny where he had guys wide open and looked at them but wouldnt make the throw. He makes poor decisions in the pocket and gambles, which is what makes him fun for us to watch. Take away the excitement of him and look at his game from a pure QB standpoint and you get a guy with athleticism, poor pocket presence, decent arm strength but appears to never quit.

He excels against bigger slower defenses like Bama but struggles against the faster speed defenses like UF and LSU. The kid has a lot of holes in his game, IF he is a Jag in May it better be because he slid to the 2nd rd and still then its a gamble.

Gotta agree with the above posters. If you want to talk about a prospect don't post a highlight video. It's extremely biased and isn't good for any kind of evaluation.

You can judge player's ceiling from a highlight video. For example, I could see from Reggie Williams' highlights that he'd never be anything special.

Whether a player has the ability and ambition to achieve that level in the NFL is a whole different question.
Matt Jones highlights show that could have been a top receiver had he put football first.

You can't judge a QB on what he does in one out of 20 plays.  You judge him based on what he does in the other 19.

When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Johnny Football is a human highlight reel. That's what makes him so intriguing.
