I rolled on the floor laughing, With all those missed reads in the pocket Manziel had to improvise. If he had just stuck to the play book (or just be Teddy Bridgewater) A&M would have been in the National Title hunt late

Per Michael DiRocco, Jaguars are not drafting a QB at #3. Jaguars are drafting a player who will make an immediate impact which sounds like a pass rusher.

I would love the Titans drafting another guard

Martin is David Stewart's replacement.

Except for Manziel to the Jags, and Ebron to the Lions, looks pretty good and make a lot of sense.

However, I seriously doubt the Jags are taking Manziel over Bortles  I think the Lions would take WR Mike Evans over Ebron.  Anthony Barr falling all the way to the Cowboys is interesting.  Might happen, but I would think the Steelers would grab him and go WR in round 2.

Based on Clowney and Robinson going 1 - 2, my top 10 with no trades might look like this:

1. HOU - DE J. Clowney

2. STL - OT G. Robinson

3. JAC - DE/OLB K. Mack or WR Sammy Watkins

4. CLE - QB B. Bortles

5. OAK - QB T. Bridgewater

6. ATL - OT J. Matthews

7. TAM - WR S. Watkins or OLB K. Mack

8. MIN - QB J. Manziel

9. BUF - WR M. Evans

10. DET - CB D. Dennard

Just like last year, when they said we were going LT (whichever one was on the board?)

Give me Clowney or Mack at 3 and we should be good, downside is that Jimmy G might be gone by our 2nd pick.

Passing on a QB, pigeon holes the jags later picks. We need a QB too badly, and Jimmy G will be gone before we pick in the 2nd so cross him off.

No way do we pass on QB in the 1st round. Texans may pass on Bridgewater, but we won't.

I love this time of year.

Who are some of these people "close to the organization"? People who drive by Everbank on the way to work?

Funny how rumors are cold hard facts to this board. Best available player will be our pick. Who Caldwell has atop his big board is still a mystery to everyone

Manziel will not be chosen over Bridgewater by Caldwell, if we've learned anything from the guy thus far it's that he doesn't take chances.. Bridgewater is as close to a "sure thing" as we've seen in awhile apart from Andrew Luck.  Manziel has so many questions they might as well call him the riddler.

With the number of QBs expected to be available in rounds 2, 3, and even 4... it "pidgeon holes" absolutely nothing.

On the contrary, it would make more sense to pass on QB, given the crop, than force a pick.  There's likely better talent available at other positions of just as great need.  Specifically, DE.  That's why Clowney or Mack makes more sense than anything, IMO.

So, it's more likely to look like:

1.  Clowney/Mack

2.  McCarron/Mettenberger/Garropolo

I wouldn't be surprised to see us not take one until the third, which could be Mettenberger or Murray, perhaps someone like Garropolo if he falls.  If that happens, I also wouldn't be surprised to see another developmental  taken before the draft is over.

If the Texans don't feel their choice of QBs is good enough, then we (merely two picks later) shouldn't feel any different given the talent at other positions that will be available.
