Glad to hear that's going well and that he's working hard every day.

He seems like a dedicated guy.  I hope he's a fixture at LT for years to come.

Doesn't sound 100% convincing that he's rehabbed and ready to go. More PR than prognosis.

Won't change the fact that we need Jake Matthews or Taylor Lewan.

Joeckel at LT, Pasztor at RT, and Bradfield at swing T is fine. I would rather use the first round pick on a playmaker, not an OT.

Well, he does have a point.

We thought "Baby Boselli" was going to take care of us, too until he tore his knee up.

What seems to be routine is sometimes anything but.  We like to feel comfort in believing he'll be back to 100%, but that's not a given.

What that could allow is one of those guys to move in and fix guard, too.

Baby Boselli never should have been given that nickname. Wasn't good enough to earn it. If we're on the same page here, the player were both referring to is Mike Pearson, right? He was to be a good/ not great player IMO, even before the injury.

As you admittedly don't remember, Coughlin was bringing him along nicely until his injury.  He didn't start off strong but was picking up steam.  Once he was hurt, all that progress was erased and more.

I never disputed that he wasn't a developing into a nice player.

Boselli was one of he best ever to play the position. Quite a gap between that & Pearson. If one is going to be nick'ed "Baby Boselli" he better have the kinda pedigree of someone that is drafted top 5, i,e, one of the best players of a given draft not some 2nd rounder.

My opinion.

Spot on. Pearson was never anything other than just a player. Joeckel is the first player we've had since boselli that could actually earn that nickname.

Lighten up Francis.  Did you laugh or scream "BLASPHEMY!" at the Mini Ditka SNL bit because it disparaged a legend?

It was only a nickname, if not partially derived from hope that Coughlin could have turned things back into the way we were.  "Sigh..."

There were a lot of reasons for the nickname, but at least we're getting back on track by talking about Joeckel again.

I agree....and its funny ----- the nickname would have been legit for Joeckel in more ways than just that as he LOOKS the part, too  If one didn't know better, they might mistake Joeckel to be Boselli's kid.

He did not bust his knee up.  IT was a broken ankle.  Freak accidents happen

Offensive tackles are play-makers. You don't appreciate 'em because they're just the out of focus guys in the background of the field-level photos.

I know Euguene Monroe has Miami interest if the Ravens dont pay him $$$ which means they might not be able to keep Blindside star too.

That is why the trade was done I think they didnt want to pay Monroe the money he wanted when they had drafted and signed Luke for much cheaper.

You don't need to use the first round pick to fix a guard position. An upgrade and starting quality guard can be found beyond the first round.

Caldwell is the one that stated he would like to pick up a playmaker with the first pick (or picks). When GMs use the term 'playmakers', they are not referencing OTs. It does not mean they are not important positions to a team.

Baby Boselli shredded the knee.  Joeckel had the freak broken ankle.

That's not what's being suggested.  To say this is to dismiss the fact you're putting elite talent at RT.  Two upgrades in a single pick, and certainly not a "first round to fix a guard" pick.  That's not being honest at all.
