If Teddy and Clowney are gone... Gotta be Manziel or Mack.
Manziels potential is unreal if he can translate his game to the NFL. He must learn to protect his body and only force the issue if we needed a big first down or something.

Capparoolu lol. Assuming Teddy is gone, I see us taking Mack then possibly Carr/Garropolo/Mettenberger in the 2nd. Fales had an awful combine. Don't we have two fifth rd picks? Wouldn't be against taking him there. Connor Shaw/Logan Thomas could be dark horses

I'd say you draft Matthews or Clowney if Teddy is gone, and then you take Carr in the 2nd. Have Henne start and groom Carr while Henne gets his brains beat in.

I wouldn't care where Teddy gets drafted. Id take Manziel above Teddy anyway.
None of these.
Matthews is the top player in college football. The Jaguars can't ignore 50 sacks for two years in a row. Lewan is also an acceptable selection at three. He was top five if he'd come out last year. He stayed in school and most had dropped him to mid to late first round. However, his elite display at the NFL Combine has restored him to top three.

Gabbert is a statue made of glue, never seen him even break an arm tackle. He's also a deer in the headlights being magnetized toward his own demise. Equal blame goes to the QB IMO. Defenses know his primary target is the FB and all they have to do to win is blitz and cover the FB. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Kurt Warner seemed pretty high on him tonight on NFLN Total Access. I too like Fales despite his combine. For me its his ball placement and timing that stand out. Short, deep ,intermediate it doesnt matter he has a crazy good sense of knowing how to throw a guy open or put the ball to where the DB cant see/touch it to make a play. His draftbreakdown vids are extremely impressive he just has below average arm strength much like Chad Pennington. Unlike Pennington though Fales will actually attack all ranges without fear and has the killer's mindset you need as a QB. If they can get Fales to use more body mechanics instead of using all arm then his velocity will increase and he couldbe a hidden gem on draft day. If we take 2 QBs i want hi as the second one selected and if we do somehow pass on QBs in the first and 2nd to take a developement guy then it should be Fales i9n the 3rd or 4th.
