5-11 or 6-10 is likely coming this season. Especially if Chad Henne is at QB which seems like a good shot

I want to see more building and development this season.   I was a Gene fan for a while, but it became clear that Dave took over the weakest roster in the league. A winning season would be unexpected, and would be a thrill.  Next year, we need to win.  However Dave gets talent via free agency and the draft, we need to be a winning team - consistently - one season from now.

More home wins...that's all I ask.

Am I the pirate or the ninja? Because I was told there would be no math, and I hear that ninjas have to do math.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

There will be maths? I don't like maths or other numbers.

Personally, I like the offseason just for reasons like this.  We're 0-0 just like everyone else.

I think, depending on who we draft, that we are going to surprise a lot of people this year.  Especially if we draft Bridgewater, I think a .500 season isn't much of a reach.  We are going to get better and better over the next few years and be a consistent playoff/championship hunt team.  I have complete faith in this staff building this franchise.

Agreed. i think a few of us[ myself included] got a little carried away last season. See how well the off season goes and if Dave can bring in some talent now we're better off for the future. A wild card spot seems most likely.

If we get the right players that PLAY, this season could be a wild card season for us, otherwise it will be another basement season. :yucky:

It does appear that way, but I try not to buy anything anyone says leading up to the draft.

I wasn't lying down this year; I was run over by the Jaguar's opponent masquerading as a speeding 18 wheeler Mack truck. I will try to stand again this next year.

If Henne is starting at QB the entire season... we might not even go 5-11.

Opponents next year:

Home: Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns,Pittsburgh Steelers, Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants

Away: Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals,San Diego Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins

That's a pretty rough schedule.  Especially if the Texans swing back up and RGIII recovers.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

That schedule actually looks like a cakewalk, especially at home. If our team can play like a .500 team, the results should bear out.
