Anyone else warming up to the idea of Johnny Jaguar?

#1

Man, I wasn't sure before but there's something about him I love. The intangibles are limitless. Gus and Dave said the first thing they look for when looking at players is their love for the game and their competitive spirit. No player in this draft comes close to that than Manziel. There were people who thought Cam couldn't do it when he came out being such a scrambler from a high powered running offense. Johnny has been told "no" all his life so let him prove everyone wrong one more time.

Yeah...there is absolutely zero proof to back up this claim. In fact, one could reasonably argue Bortles deserves that claim and not Manziel, since Blake is going to be throwing at the combine and putting his draft stock at stake for the love of the game and competition while Manziel is not.

If I had a passion for the game of football and competition that was unparalleled by every single player in this entire draft then I sure as heck wouldn't be sitting on the sidelines while perhaps my biggest competition to the #1 overall draft slot was throwing passes and potentially wowwing scouts.

I agree, there's something about him that I just can't put my finger on. I think he's gonna be either Great with a capital G, or bust. If there's a player in the draft that you don't want your division rival to take, that should tell you something. I think Teddy is a much safer Franchise QB, but Manziel's upside, IMO, is the only one in this class that rivals Clowney.

I've been warmed up to it since the 1st or 2nd game of this season. I was iffy after last season, but I think he's got a chance to be really good. None of last off-seasons stuff bothers me a bit.

Johnny Football does give off a warm and fuzzy feeling,

I think he'll either become a long term starting QB or be successful for a couple seasons before burning out. Does he have the NFL arm?

If they truly think he's the best option and grab him, then I'll cross my fingers, but I'm really hoping it's Bridgewater.

Johnny ego football midget. ...just say no.
If that RV sales place wants Tebow in Jax bad enough to take out a billboard saying as much.....they should just HIRE him.

Having a couple of bad games in 2 years isn't a big deal. There was also talk that he had a thumb injury at that time. Johnny is a playmaker. A better playmaker than Tebow and also has the ability to throw the ball. I would be happy with him.
