Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead on the bathroom floor of his apartment, it was reported today.

Hoffman played a finance executive who was also a heroin addict in Before the Devil Knows Your Dead, and I remember thinking when watching it that he did a great job portraying a "closet junkie". Turns out he was drawing from experience. 23 years sober since rehab in his early 20s, then he falls back about a year ago. Incredibly sad, we lost another genius.

Probably just a large personal stash.  Guys like that don't want to have to "re-up" all the time.  Too much risk.  When they come across a product they like they'll get lots of it.

I enjoyed some of his movies, but no sympathy from me.. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize the stuff that'll kill ya..
