The Giants will be letting Hakeem Nicks walk

Well, he's a talented player. But he apparently had problems with the Giants towards the end. Change of scenery would be good for him.

I'd consider him a top tier #2. Carolina perhaps?

I wouldn't sign him unless cheap.

Pairing him with Steve Smith would be a dangerous combo. I agree.

I think if we got him on the cheap it could be a real steal.

Steve Smith?? Do you realize how old he is??

He's on the decline, man.

Why would any player be happy in New York after that disaster of a season?

He's 34. But Nicks  + Smith would still be a good combo for a year or two. Smith is a future HOF'er in my opinion.

Supposedly, Nicks was fined on multiple occasions for missing and tardiness for meetings. He also missed treatments when injured. These items started the bad rub with the Giant's leadership. Given how they dealt with Mincey for not being 100% focused, I justs don't see Nicks as a good cultural fit to Bradley and Caldwell.

Nicks should go to Carolina and then draft Benjamin put Steve smith in the slot

Speaking of Carolina... I'd rather see Caldwell go after their FA receiver than Nicks.   (Brandon LaFell)  Lots of upside and he's still pretty young with good size at 6'2" - 210lbs.

Coming off injury it's very likely he'll sign a 1 year "prove it" deal. And I'll be all for it. His game is similar to Blackmon's and would be a great insurance policy.

Carolina desperately needs another WR, maybe a true 2nd WR for Cam. I'll be super surprised if they don't go hard after him.

Hakeem Nicks played college at UNC, so he already has Carolina ties. Just food for thought.
