***OFFICIAL*** NFC Championship Game Day Thread

#1

At 6:30 on FOX, one of the NFL's nastiest rivalries will be renewed. The last time the 49ers played at Seattle, the Seahawks blew them out 29-3. But last month the 49ers won at home 19-17, so with Michael Crabtree in the lineup, they have a chance to win today. (He had a torn Achilles tendon during the first meeting.)

While the early game is full of subplots, this game has only two: the NFC West rivalry and Seattle's #40 FB Derrick Coleman. I will be as interested in Coleman as who the winner is and hope his Duracell commercial will be shown during the game.

If the Broncos win, I will root for the 49ers. If the Patriots win, I will root for the Seahawks. Either way, I will root for Coleman.

It'll be fun to see Harbaugh vs Carroll with all the marbles on the line.

They were rivals even in their Pac-10 or wherever days.

I'm looking forward to this more than Brady v. Peyton. If 49ers can win in Seattle, they should be able to win the Super Bowl. I'm expecting a lowscoring slugfest as these are the best defenses in the league. I like Wilson more than Kaepernick, but the 49ers have better receivers but Seattle has a better (the best) secondary. 49ers front 7 is on fire and Anquan may help Kaep get paid like Flacco. I expect another close game, but lower scoring than Broncos/Pats

I'd be happy with either team winning. 49ers are the underdog at Seattle, but they went to the Super Bowl last year. Not a fan of consecutive appearances unless it's the Jags (whenever that'll happen)

Are you predicting an upset? Don't count out Marshawn "Beast Mode" Lynch or the 12th Man.

Right there with you.

I had a Broncos - Seahawks superbowl prediction.

This is going to be a real good game though.

I love the attitude and ferocity that Seattle's defense plays with...

Gus is slowly getting our team in that direction.

My prediction: Kaepernick gets rattled by Seattle's 12th man and starts to get that 'lost' look in the third quarter.  He'll go rabbit in futile frustration.  Russell Wilson will be the cool, calm game manager he is and marches the Seahawks to a 17 point win.

IMHO, Wilson is going to be the next on-field general after Peyton.

Just think about how many of our problems would be solved right now with that one single draft pick.

I want to see Seattle win, I honestly think their D will win them the bowl if they get there, even against Manning. But I was wrong last year about the 9ers beating the Ravens so you never know.
