I really hope we draft Johnny Manziel in this upcoming draft. I think he is going to be a great leader for this football team and a spokesman for the city. He reminds me a lot of Mark Brunell but more of a vocal leader and most likely a better football player. He will bring a lot of emotion and excitement to our city that is desperately clambering for just that. Anyways, that is my pick and it doesn't matter where we are picking, just pick him please Mr. Caldwell!!

I'm leaning your way although I would be happy with Bridgewater or Carr....haven't seen enough of Bortles. However, with a post like yours....you better keep your head down. He seems to be a polarizing figure around here. Whoever we draft....I trust Dave has put in the research. He'll have 4 months.

Ik it scares me to think about the amount of crazy that's about to appear. I think other than QB the RB is the most interesting position in the draft. Do we get a mjd style guy or go with a McCoy style or keep Todman  and try and see if he can be a number one or go like NE and get a Ridley/Varren combo

That doesn't deserve a topic? What do you want to talk about? Mency leaving the team or MJD possibly heading off into a new direction. Let's talk about the future. I'm finally excited!! I think this coaching staff will put together a great team and for once in a decade I'm actually happy! Go jags! FYI, bowls games are typically Meaniless.

I think we stick with Todman keep Mjd and split the Carries. Go get our quarterback in the draft and a defensive in the second round. Bring in some free agents and we might just have something. I feel so great about this coaching staff. God bless Wayne Weaver for not selling us out!

It doesn't deserve a topic because every other topic on the board is about a QB. Have you stepped or in the college football forum? There's like six Manziel topics

Still.......ya might wanna check out a bowl tomorrow. Fresno St. v USC. We could possibly draft Carr. He'll finally be going against a pretty decent defense.

I certainly don't want him to.

I'm just not a believer in Manziel.  I may be proven wrong but at this point, I don't want him.

he has a steep learning curve playing the qb position in the pros and the way dual threat qbs has been dropping like flies lately, its too much of a risk with that high of a draft pick. maybe in the 2nd round i will consider it.

O.k everyone is entitled to their own opinion. He threw for 464 yards and five touchdowns against Alabama is he really just a dual threat quarterback? He throws when he has to throw he runs when he has to run he does whatever it takes to win. He is on a lesser SEC team against great opponents, I will give him his props.

A little factoid about Manziel. He broke Cam Newton's single season total yardage record this year. And he did it in 2 fewer games. And he did it against SEC competition.

I watch a lot of the big college games. But what scares me I didn't even know David Carr had a brother. It's like these draft guys will all of a sudden start trying to be the smartest in the room. Don't get me wrong I have looked at highlights and the kid looks pretty good. It just reminds me of our own Blaine Gabbert in the sense all of a sudden he's a top 10 draft pick.
