1)Manziel
If a team is willing to cater/build their offense around him and his strong-suits, there's no question in my mind that Johnny is the top prospect this year. Granted that's a very big 'IF' and a extreme consolation. But if there's a team willing, then IMO there is no single player on the draft-board who has the ability to turn around a fledgling franchise quicker in one year than Manziel. Speaking both from the profit spectrum such as sold-out games, jersey sales, national-recognition, and primetime spotlight week after week; as well as the 'possibility'(and I stress possibility) of him doing comparable things in the NFL that he's done in college(Most likely teams: Jaguars, Texans with the right coach, Browns).
2)Bridgewater
I really like Teddy, and teams looking for consistency and poise at the qb position should look no further. I still have a few reservations about him, but in this years skinny-draft, and if you really need a QB right now, he's undoubtedly your best shot at a franchise guy. One with a pro-style game that you can build around for the future. Look for a team that has a few pieces on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball already lined-up to take him. IMO, adding Bridgewater to an already good team or steady building process, and you have a recipe to be a play-off team your first year(Most likely teams: Texans, Vikings, Jaguars).
3)Clowney
He'd be my top prospect if so many darn teams weren't starving for a franchise quarterback this year. Regardless, if any teams aren't searching for a qb, pick Jadeveon as high as you possibly can(Most likely teams: Texans, almost anybody else in the top 5).
4)Jake Matthews
'Joeckel 2.0' for me. He's a good kid, big, strong, and a smart pick for the future of a team. But probably only teams that are in a better state and not as desperate as the Jaguars.(Most likely teams: Tampa Bay, Rams, Houston, maybe Atlanta)
5)Barr
Almost put Anthony higher. He's a much needed powerful pass-rusher in today's NFL, and if Browns and Oakland weren't so bad at the QB-position, I could see either of them snatching him up. As it is though, Barr is in the same position as Matthews, looking for a team with less 'needs' and more 'wants'(Most likely teams: Atlanta, Houston, Minnesota, Rams).
6)Watkins
IMO, best offensive player in this years draft not named Johnny. I like him almost anywhere that isn't already heavy at the WR-core.(Most likely teams: Anybody who doesn't have pressing QB or linebacker needs)
7)Kouandjio
Following in the footsteps of Eric Fisher last year, who went first overall to the Chiefs, don't sleep on Cyrus. He could easily creep up the board for a team looking for just such a big strong Alabama-bred lineman

1. Bortles - Unlike Carr he shows up for big games. He's calm under pressure with game on the line. His stat line translates to the NFL. By that I mean...QB's that go 50-65 for 545 and 7 TD's in college rarely become effective QB's in the Pros (Kafka, Brennan, list could go on). He's a 18-25 guy for 260. He can check down. He can buy time. Quick release. Reminds me of Big Ben. Both played at smaller schools, but to me there is less risk with a guy that has took his team against a couple solid D's and performed. Can't wait to watch his bowl game. If he shows up again, and I'm confident he will, he will hold this spot. If he struggles against an below average Baylor D he will fall back to 4 or so.

 

2. Bridgewater - He's an extremely effiecient QB, but I don't like his deep accuracy. And he doesn't take enough 'shots' at the big play. Overall he has the tools to be an NFL QB. If the Texans had Kubiak's offense I think he could've been very scary in that. It's a perfect fit but with Kubiak gone how will their O evolve?

 

3. Clowney - Raiders. Logical fit. Fast extemely athletic guy to them again...

 

4. Manziel - Too many teams need a QB that won't pass on a franchise guy. Won't go outside top 10.

 

5. Mack - If he played in a BCS conference he may be unanimous #1

 

6. Evans - Closest thing to Calvin as I've seen. Just don't see anyone that good...

 

7. Elu - Tackling skills off the chart. Ball skills impressive. Richard Sherman comparison.

 

8. Matthews. - 8 is probably too low, he should rise potentially even to Rams.

 

9. Cyrus K OT Alabama... Man among boys.

 

10. Carr - Big fall to me for the lack of a quality opponent all year. Finally got his shot yesterday. I feel I'm being very generous to leave him at 10. Footwork needs to improve, and when he doesn't have all day he faults. Plays with one of the best WR's for 2015 in Adams. Carr is a mid 20's type QB that is going to have to develop. USC is just an above average D and he had horrible footwork under pressure. Always shying away from contact or not stepping into his throw to avoid a big time hit. Not saying he can't be great but he's got alot improvements to make. Classic Cleveland Browns pick IMO. Just like Brady Quinn from ND.

1. Bridgewater, QB - He has the reps and the tools to be a top ten QB for the next Decade. There is no other position that affects the game on the same level as a Quarterback, so that's why he is the best player from my perspective.

 

2. Clowney, DE - Players with his skill set only come around so often, so it's advised that you take notice when they do. Also, that part about Quarterbacks affecting the game? He plays the position that most affects Quarterbacks.

 

3. Barr, DE/OLB - You don't draft this guy for what he can do, you draft him for what he can become. His potential is sky high and he's only just learning. He may end up better than Clowney. Maybe.

 

4. Matthews, OT - I'm a believer in Father-Son bloodlines and Jake has that in spades. He might be the best all around player in this draft, and according to some he is, but he is buried -- relatively speaking -- in a draft with great talent at key positions.

 

5. Watkins, WR/OW - He's been an impact player since the day he walked onto the field at Clemson. He has the speed to pop the top off of the Defense, and the hands to make a play when he does. He's probably not as dynamic a player as Harvin, but I'm guessing that his career will be longer even though I have nothing to back that up.

 

6. Mack, LB - With apologies to Mosley, Mack is probably the best Linebacker in the country. You draft him and forget about the position for the next seven years.

 

7. Dennard, CB - The best CB in this draft and he has the triangle numbers for it. Really like this player.

 

8. Lee, WR - Probably the best all-around WR in the draft. Watkins beats him on speed, but Lee times up the ball better than anyone. He's played tough this season with that knee injury and it needs to be checked out, but he is a real talent.

 

9. Jernigan, DT - Really like this guy even though I'm a little worried about him getting mashed at the next level. I like him a little bit more than Hageman, who I think is an excellent player in his own right, due to his athleticism. I feel like he is a bit lighter on his feet.

 

10. Bortles, QB - He's a gamer and a big reason why UCF is in a BCS bowl this season. He is not a prototypical QB, but he shows that he understands what's going on in the game. He buys time and makes plays and while he does take risks, none of them seem overtly dangerous to me. I really like his potential for the next level.
