Slow your roll everyone, the season isn't over yet.

After doing some mix and matching on ESPN's Playoff Machine, I've found a way for our Jaguars to still make it into the 2013 Playoffs. Now i'll let this settle in for a few seconds for some of you. People who are talking about the offseason already..are crazy! It's the NFL anything can happen! Enough ranting here is the blue print :
Jags path to the 2013 NFL Playoffs Criteria; * Must win remaining 3 games * Week 15 : (Denver must beat San Diego) - I was wrong about this game. (New England must beat Miami) (Detroit must beat Baltimore) - if any one of these teams wins we are out. * Week 16 : (Buffalo must somehow beat Miami) (Cleveland must beat New York Jets) (Green Bay beats the Steelers) (New England must beat Baltimore) - same rules as above. * Week 17 : (Cincinatti beats Baltimore) (New York Jets beat Miami) (Kansas City beats San Diego) - All of this happens we are in the wild card game @ Cincinatti. (do not hold me responsible for any outcome, this would be a miracle, just showing its possible.) We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Compared to last week if you're 100% right I actually like our odds better now than before

Oh I am, i sat around for a good 30 minutes or so, seeing the different combinations, mostly we need the Ravens and the Dolphins to lose all 3 of their last games which is a stretch.
Other than that i can see it actually happening.
Quote:Compared to last week if you're 100% right I actually like our odds better now than before Why? If the Dolphins, Ravens or Jets win this week, we're out. Dolphins and Ravens just need to win once to put us out. We were in a better spot last week before the Dolphins, Ravens, and Jets won. Not an easy schedule for any of them this week, but if any of them win next week, we're still out. Next week the Jets play the browns. Miami gets Buffalo. Baltimore still has it rough though.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
Week 15 is completely doable. Detroit over Baltimore is my only concern, but being a MNF game, I think Detroit will go off.
Week 16, the wildcard is Buffalo over Miami. I think Rodgers will be back by then, so GB should be able to beat Pittsburgh. Week 17, Counting on the Jets to beat Miami may be a bit of a stretch, but if it actually came down to week 17 to decide our playoff fate, I think that would be acceptable for anybody. Not going to happen, but it would be hilarious to at least stay alive through week 16 so the media would have to put the Jags on the "playoff scenario" board.
It would KILL them!

Quote:Were losing out so dont worry about it. Who do you see us losing too? Buffalo is a trap game which may be our demise. But, The Titans are certainly beatable. With the Colts struggles lately that game should be in our favor too.
Quote:Were losing out so dont worry about it.what makes you think that? I think we have a better chance (now) of winning out than loosing out.
Week 15 is definitely doable. Week 16 I have some doubts.

Quote:I could see us giving EJ Manuel a hard time. I agree. Manuel might throw a couple picks
Shock the world
Quote:I agree. Manuel might throw a couple pickseither that or he'll light us up like most QBs lol.
Quote:either that or he'll light us up like most QBs lol. So true haha

Quote:Who do you see us losing too? Buffalo is a trap game which may be our demise. But, The Titans are certainly beatable. With the Colts struggles lately that game should be in our favor too. Buffalo has a very good defensive line and a couple playmakers in the secondary. I can see Henne being under pressure all day and throwing a couple picks. Their offense is horrible though because EJ sucks, but I think that 17 points will be enough to win them the game, especially with MJD likely being out. We could beat the Titans but I just dont think we will, this is the most winnable game. Despite the Colts struggling recently Andrew Luck will put up enough points to win. I dont think people realize how bad our offense is. If we dont get prime field position (which we did in all our wins due to turnovers or drive extending penalties) we wont put up many points. While the defense is certainly improving, I dont think they can keep carrying the team. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
We just need to win out, especially beat the stinkin' tacks if no one else and finish this year healthy.
hopefully next year we can think about post season, its fun to fantasize though. It would be cool to see our name up on the playoff board like anon2112 says.
Because Jaguars is our mantra

in my mind it's over and i'm looking forward to next year and what will be a very interesting off season.
I do not see week 16 happening or us winning out tbh. Nonetheless we have improved every week and I hope we keep it up. I am just hoping for 3 more good games and an interesting offseason of draft speculation
I'm not going to get too involved with these scenarios our season was over at the bye week but this stretch is a pleasant surprise and gives good reason for optimism moving forward and I'll hope for the playoffs next season. That being said... I can see these scenarios playing out but aren't likely to all happen. First off the Jaguars have to go 3-0 and that's all I'm really rooting for. If we get to the last week and still have a chance then I'd be pretty stoked. 1996 all over again.
No pain, no gain.
