Doesn't it matter? neither seems to be the answer which is more important. My answer would be to many at the wrong time.

It's pretty clear Bortles has to be near a few NFL records forPickk 6's .. has there ever been a QB with what 12 now?

I thought I read that he has 11 pick 6's and only 10 wins as a starting QB. Yikes!!!!!

Oh... Who was that tin horn qb they got from the falcons? That guy had a pretty good pick 6 streak going for a while...

Favre threw 35 in his career. Ben is at 17 (as of 2013)

Most qbs seem to be throwing a pick 6 at around .25-.35% of total passes.

Blake is at .7% so he's throwing them twice as often as pretty much every other QB ever.

Fortunately he will wash out of the league before having a chance to break the all time record.

Actually... I looked at this earlier in the week.

Going into this game, Blake Bortles was tied at 60th (with a number of other QBs) for Interception %

Compared to QBs today, he's obviously on the wrong end up the spectrum, but in general, QBs today have a much lower INT% than QBs throughout NFL history.

There are 6 current NFL QBs who are currently sitting on an INT% LOWER than the NFL Career INT% record held by Neil O'Donnel.

Current NFL Reccord is 2.1%. Bortles was at 3.1% going into this game. Aaron Rodgers is the current leader at 1.6%

Just keeping statistics straight.

Bortles INT% is bad compared to current QBs, but not historically.

I was calculating specifically his pick 6 percentage. Not just overall INT. He's throwing picks in general a tad more than other QBs. But he's doubling the pick 6 rate.

Pick 6s are hard to definitively put on the QB. At least, as opposed to INTs in general. A lot of things go into turning an INT into a Pick 6.

A lot of Bortles Pick 6s have been specifically because of the decisions made, no doubt. But a few of them are just offensive players unable to make a tackle, take a correct angle, etc. which is harder to quantify.

That said... the numbers are what they are. He's set an NFL record for Pick 6s, and any subjective data aside, that number stands.

Yeah, the same can be said for just INTs in general. He's had probably 6 or 7 this year alone that, if not for terrible luck, shouldn't have been caught. Or should have been caught by our WRs.

He's had a horrible stretch of bad luck on top of his regression and hasn't been bailed out by his WRs at all this year.

But like you said, the number is what it is. I feel bad for him. I wonder what he'd be right now if we had a staff like the Bengals or KC.

Yep, and there's a very good chance he will end the season that way. A very good chance indeed.

I'd say he's probably got a few more pick six's left in him to pad the effort.
