Hi, Jaguars fans!       Kevin Harlan and Solomon Wilcotts are announcing the Jaguars @ Browns early regional doubleheader game for The NFL On CBS, seen on the Eastern Georgia coast Ohio, West Virginia, and  in central and northeastern Florida, in locally in  Jacksonville ,  on WTEV CBS channel 47, live on HD.     :yes:          B)     

 

WTEV channel 47 is also televising the Broncos @ Chiefs NFL On CBS's primary late doubleheader game, and WAWS FOX channel 30 is televising the Falcons Vs. Bills NFL International Series game at the Skydome/Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, both games in this coming late Sunday afternoon, live on HD.  :thumbsup:  B)    ^_^

Steve Beurlein has worked at our games a lot, but not always with the same announcer. He was the guy working with Gus Johnson when David Garrard threw a Hail Mary against the Texans.

 

It is a hard question to answer because often networks move guys around and some, like Gus Johnson and John Madden, followed the money to other networks.

Does anyone know how people are assigned to games? It is obvious Jim Nantz and Phil Simms will always go to the best game on CBS but how do they decide where the others work each week?

All the other broadcasters say "1,2,3.. Not it" the last two people are chosen to announce the game.

That's what network executives are for. The executive producer ranks the games and assigns the ranked broadcast teams to those games in order.

You're correct that Nantz/Simms get the #1 game, although I think Simms is really mediocre.

Clearly, the Jags games almost always get the last ranked broadcast team.

Little doubt, if he comes out this year he is going to be the closest thing to an elite quaterback draft pick. Cross your fingers he comes out and we're in the position to pick him.
