2014 Senior Bowl

#1

It's still November but the Senior Bowl invites and acceptances are coming in.

Here is a link to an updated list.

http://www.seniorbowl.com/accepted-invites.php

Derek Carr has already accepted. I would expect to see McCarron and Boyd there for sure. Probably Mettenberger as well. Murray had an invite but with the knee, I assume he is out.

Another name to look at is DE/LEO/LB Jeremiah Attaochu.

DE 6'3" 242 ACC

Made switch from OLB to DE this season and is only four sacks of tying school record. His 27 career sacks rank third among active FBS players. Through 10 games this season has registered 31 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and 8 sacks (-66 yards).

Could be a nice fit on Bradley's defense.

So sorry sir. I have to admit, as much as I hate to see college season ending and NFL entering it's final quarter....I love the lead up to the draft.

Agreed I've been keeping tabs on potential Leo types throughout the season and I think Attachou has been overlooked. I think he's versatile enough to drop in coverage and rush the passer. And if he goes in the 3rd - 4th round as projected he could rotate in with our other young players on the front.

sucks to hear about murrays injury, but do you guys know when theyll announce the coaches? i hope bradley gets a nod it would be a really good thing for this franchise because we have a lot of draft picks and we need a lot of good players. it would be a huge benefit in finding talent.

also, i hope david fales gets an invite

Logan Thomas was added as a QB, man i was hoping we try to convert him into a TE.

also Stephen Morris and David Fales are added, no Jimmy G yet.

If Morris slips into the late rounds, I would not mind if the Jags took a chance on him. He worked with Fisch at Miami and has an absolute cannon.

Morris = Matt Scott

Morris should be available in the 4th rd and if we go QB in the first , RB or TE in the second and then O-line in the 3rd id be fine with taking 2 Qbs. We could use the xtra 4th on him and still get a LB or DE/DT with the other 4th rounder.

Huh?

What makes you think this? Is that just hope talking?

What is the procedure to deciding which coaches are named to the Sr Bowl.

They pick the coaching staffs from the teams with the worst record. They don't pick new coaching staffs, so Houston would be out. If we pick third, we would get offered one of the spots.

Ok, then good. Theres a good chance Bradley will be there. I'm sure he'll see it as a great "opportoooony" Wink

phil savage said the jags, falcons and browns are the favorites to be coaches but since the browns just fired their hc, our chance improves. Cant wait to see either Carr and/or Fales work with the coaching staff.
