The Iron Bowl
|
I am sure almost everybody will be thinking about Alabama trying to stay undefeated before the BCS NCG. That is fine, but Auburn is #10 with only one loss. This is not a second coming of Chattanooga we are talking about.
If Alabama wins: No change in the top 2 ranks before the conference champsionship games are played. If Auburn wins: FSU moves up to #1, Ohio State moves up to #2, and Alabama will fall out of the top five. That means it is a good thing this game will start at 3:30 because the Seminoles/Gators game is at 12:00. It will be a great day for FSU fans. After I finish watching Ohio State and Michigan, if the Buckeyes win, I will be a huge Auburn Tigers fan for the next three hours. We show less advertisements to registered users. Why will it be a great day for FSU fans? We want to play Alabama in the NC game.
Why in gods name does anyone want Ohio State to move to #2? They would get absolutely destroyed in a NC game.
Alabama vs FSU please.

Auburn isnt #10, they are #4! This is a 1 vs 4 matchup. Not sure if itll end up a great game, but I cant wait to watch it! Have yall seen the stories about ticket prices so far? Inside amounts of money.

Quote:Why will it be a great day for FSU fans? We want to play Alabama in the NC game. First of all, your Seminoles are probably going to destroy my Gators. I am worried about the game being played 10 minutes from me. Second, you get to watch both FSU and Alabama because they don't play at the same time.
Quote:Why in God's name does anyone want Ohio State to move to #2? They would get absolutely destroyed in a NC game. I was sick and tired of Ohio State winning every week and never getting rewarded for it, even after a blowout. They finally moved up to #3 after their bye week. I want to see them get rewarded in polls for winning. That just happens to mean being #2. Even though Florida killed Ohio State 41-14 in the NCG, I was happy for the fact that Ohio State even played in that game.

My supervisor and I were huge Gator fans and he let me off work an hour before the game and it ended up being an amazing game... well for Gator fans.

Quote:Does anybody think Auburn will win Saturday? I do. Not just being hopeful for Ohio State's concern, but Auburn has a legitimate chance here. That team is built to take down Bama. Auburn wins by 6 (hopeful guess)

Quote:Why in gods name does anyone want Ohio State to move to #2? They would get absolutely destroyed in a NC game. Your name says it all, except in this case, it's any given Saturday. FSU vs tOSU is the NC I expect to see when Bama falls to Auburn We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Quote:if auburn beats bama i think they would go to the ncg, though i got bama winning by 3 tds.Only way this happens is if ESPiN clammors for it. 1 loss should never play in the NCG if there are unbeatens ranked above them, no matter who they just beat (assuming Auburn does win the Iron Bowl). I fully expect it to be FSU v tOSU (assuming Bama faulters and tOSU beats the Spartans)

Remember the winner of the Iron Bowl must get past either Missouri or South Carolina to stay undefeated. Quote:That's not exactly a cake walk, either. Regardless of which of them gets there. But it would be less difficult than the Iron Bowl because Auburn is ranked higher than Missouri.
Quote:Only way this happens is if ESPiN clammors for it.yeah but it happens remember the two loss lsu team a few years back? if auburn beats bama and wins the sec championship, they will play in the title game. it sucks but thats whats most likely to happen.
Quote:Yeah but it happens remember the two loss LSU team a few years back? If Auburn beats Alabama and wins the SEC championship, they will play in the title game. It sucks but thats whats most likely to happen. In fact Alabama had one loss last year. However, the Buckeyes were ineligible, leaving only one undefeated team in the BCS rankings. I always believed OSU would have played in the NCG if they did not get smacked with a one-year bowl ban. The Gators had one loss in 2006. So why did they play against the Buckeyes? Because only Ohio State was undefeated that year. LSU could get in with two losses because 2007 was a weird season full of crazy upsets. It was the year when being #2 was a curse - every second-ranked team lost. There were no undefeated teams. |
