Happens all the time.

 

The police don't have enough to do anything. They wont refer every case to the DA; otherwise, the DA would be overwhelmed with cases that'll go nowhere. Because of the high-profile nature of the "suspect", the DA probably asked to look at it or they police didn't want to put their name on ruining his life. 

 

There's nothing suspicious to this.

It's tough to be a young man these days. Girls get silicon implants, paste on fake fingernails, fake eyelashes, pay thousands for a nose job, have the fat sucked out of their rear ends, color their hair pink, purple and teal, then complain about not being able to find a real man.

 

As long as the police did consider the case closed and re-opened relating to media instigating a smear campaign you are pretty much assured that there's not much to whatever was supposed to have happened.

 

There's no sense whatsoever to scar a guy for life based on a police report that doesn't even seem to indicate a positive identity match.

The height thing happens all the time. A great deal of people couldn't give you details on a suspect, and a lot of times be way off.

 

I remember a 20/20 type show doing a piece on this. They asked people to identify what the "suspect" was wearing, holding, did he have glasses, a hat, height, weight, etc. The numbers of completely whacked out answers far outweighed anything that was accurate.

They could have reopened the case because of new  evidence.   I read somewhere that there was speculation that they have recovered some DNA evidence.

You might be right. But either way, based on the information we have (or should I say don have), none of us have a clue about who raped this girl or if it is even true. Remember everyone up in arms over the duke scandal and they were calling for those students heads?
