That was our starting quarterback's stat line in today's win on the road against a .500 team (maybe that shows that the rest of the team isn't that bad, eh?). And the funny thing is, that might not only earn Chad Henne 7 more starts, to finish the season off....but the starting job next year as well, because now the Jags are not in line for Teddy, and will have to settle for either a much less skilled QB (anyone else in the draft), or drafting other positions and trying to develop a QB we already have (which looks in all likely-hood to be Henne since he's still starting).
Great week for the Jags...but even a better week for Chad Henne's starting role. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Idk everyone thinks winning one game is gonna loose us the the top pick. Also we won inspite of henne.

Im really not worried about the top pick. If it happens then whatever, but Im not going to want my team to lose for a kid in college right now. There are a good amount of QB prospects in this draft, and Caldwell has a lot of trade bait in case he is feelin crazy and wants to trade up for one. I like Bridgewater a lot, but I would have a hard time not being pumped for a Clowney/ best available QB combo.

Manziel 2014!

Speaking of trade bait, was anyone else getting really excited with baltimore almost threw that game today? them losing to Cincy would have been amazing. They really should have lost that IMO

I like Bridgewater a lot, but I would have a hard time not being pumped for a Clowney/ best available QB combo. I like this for two reasons. First, I agree. Second, he spelled "lose" correctly without the extra "o." I'm not pulling for loss after loss so we can draft a kid that may or may not be the answer.

Quote:If we drafted Clowney and traded back into the first to get Manziel, I would reach climax.Yall do realize that DC's prototypical QB is not a running smallish QB. He wants a tall big arm pocket passer. I Really doubt he would draft Manziel, he porbably would trade back.
Com'on Man.....you wouldn't want to watch a team that wasn't trying to win would you?
There are several great picks to be had in this years draft.
Because Jaguars is our mantra

i'd be very happy if we took clowney with the number 2 pick or trade back get some picks to rebuild and take one of the other high rank pass rush prospects
as much as I reckon caldwell would like to trade back i don't know if you can pass on such talented prospects as teddy or clowney as for qb if it's not teddy if mettenberger or boyd falls to the second i would take them, manziel going purely by media speculation his attitude gives me a bad taste and his play style makes me raise an eyebrow but i'd probably take him if he fell to the second too if not i would be quite happy filling the trenches and would personally concentre on building the dt//olb and centre/ guard positions with the 2nd 3rd and one 4th and take david fales with the other 4th/5th and keep henne let fales compete with henne and either find our qb of the future for a 4th or find a developmental prospect and give the guards a blooding with a vet under centre then take winston or another qb prospect in 2014 behind a more established line and with a solid d to back it up We show less advertisements to registered users. Idk, Im no college scout but I just don't believe the hype with Bridgewater and Manziel is Tebow with slightly better accuracy and arm strengh. I say trade back gain some picks and do what Washington and draft two QB's. I wouldn't mind seeing the the Jags draft a guy like Mcaaron and Murry and let them battle for the #1 spot.

Luck/Newton/Griffin like success in a rookie year is rare, and definitely not the norm. People used to say that Eugene Monroe and Eben Britton were going to be our bookend tackles for the next 15 years. I guess since they run they are kind of similar, but not really because they run the ball completely different. |
